A few more sketches for "Night of a Thousand Drawings" The first two from this morning's visit to Pledge Nature Reserve - nothing compares with sketching from life!! The others I did at home from my photos...
When I sketch I become obsessed with mark-making involved and always ask myself if the subject matter simply gives me a reason to do this? Or is it just my actual love for trying to express, in my own way, my absolute intrigue and wonder of Nature? I guess its a bit of both, along with the challenges always present which kero me motivated to improve.... From just sitting beneath the trees, and observing with all my senses a deep peace prevails which is so inspiring and at the same time energizing.
