Shannyn Fourie & Tamryn Speirs move between the play’s farcical elements and its underlying serio-comic tension. Stranded with an overheated car in a “graveyard of lizards,” the women’s volatile dynamic drives the action. The unexpected arrival of a mysterious biker, played by Rowan Studti shifts the tone and propels the plot toward its unravelling. Paula Cizmar’s writing blends wit with emotional depth.

Candy & Shelley go to the desert" is a one-act play by Paula Cizmar about two friends stranded in the middle of nowhere roadtripping to the Pacific Ocean. While the resilient Candy sunbathes, the nervous, overdressed Shelley panics. They encounter a biker, confront a past betrayal, and ultimately strengthen their friendship.

It’s Two Broke Girls meets Thelma & Louise with a hint of Afrika Burn!

Congratulations to the cast and production team of Sarajevo on an outstanding production.

Thank you for sharing this powerful and deeply moving work with Cape Town audiences. Based on true events, revealing how manufactured, politically motivated hatred turns neighbours into enemies, how quickly loved ones can turn on one another, and how war becomes an excuse for unthinkable violence against civilians and humanity.

Every objects as well as the elements of fire and ice are used to portay the deep coflicts of those suffering from a broken will. Bucket Boy, directed by Adrian Collins and written by Pierre Malherbe, is a dark comedy set in the waning days of a DVD store, a relic of the late 2010s. It stars John Maytham as Baardmann, the store's beleaguered owner, and Pierre Malherbe as Duncan, a part-time employee and musician. Their lives collide in a story full of sharp wit, nostalgia, and suspense.

The show runs until 15 November at the Baxter's Masambe Theatre. Book now via Webtickets to avoid missing this "must-see" production.
