VLoom Visual Learning Room A 21st century technological class learning concept created by a group of young people in an attempt to better the education system in South Africa.

The VLoom is a modernised in-class projected visual learning system created by a group of volunteers better known as Ikhweiden. The VLoom aims to cater for a larger number of learners than the average classroom making teaching/learning easier & more interactive. The VLoom also caters for learners with different learning strategies, especially those who learns better visually & aurally.

We are Ikhweiden and we've created the VLoom Visual Learning room in an attempt to maximise teaching time in low resourced schools by changing what the average classroom looks like into a modernised mini world of technology.

*Lets go back to school*
picture yourself in the average classroom during a history period and your teacher has been explaining the cold boer wars for the past 30 minutes! ...
arrrgh! thats boring right?

We would like to make a difference in the education system of our country by transforming dull old boring classrooms and lessons into an 3D interactive planetarium-like space.

We are a group of young YearBeyond volunteers who are currently tutoring at Ikhwezi le sizwe Primary School in Khayelitsha and Leiden High School in Delft. Our schools were paired up for the YeBo social innovation challenge in an attempt to maximise teaching time in low resourced schools and better the education system in South Africa.
