Our Story

The idea of “Moving Art” sparked while watching one of the first international tattoo shows in South Africa. With Support from her husband Matt and Sheradon’s artistic background she knew without a doubt that this is what she wanted to do. She did a short tattoo training at Urban Ink , then worked from home practicing for 2 years. After 2 years Moving Art Tattoos was finally registered as a professional tattoo studio in 2010. Since the shop opened in Edward Street there have been a lot of different artists and so a lot of experience was gained and the business grew until where we are today. We have a team that is now like family, we are ready for whats to come in the future.

Currently we are a team of 3 artists. Sheradon Brits is the owner and founder of Moving Art Tattoos, she is all hands on deck, a tattoo artist and body piercing artist. She founded the company in 2010 and has worked extremely hard to get the business where it is now which is a dependable reputable company giving a new and better impression of the tattoo scene that still gets frowned upon. Ettienne Roux joined our team in April 2017, he had his own tattoo studio in Rustenburg and he, as well as Shez has been tattooing just over 8 years. Both artists have insane talent and love challenges, they are always exploring new styles. Mckale Roux joined the team in November 2017 as a tattoo and body piercing artist. All 3 artists love doing their custom designs. The team is excited about the business growing and expanding and can’t wait for new challenges and experiences.
