Join us on the 1st of July for an evening of live musical bliss with artists, Constellatia and Yndian Mynah. Performing together for the first time, this will also be both artists' venue debut at the Gorgeous George. The event will be taking place in the Pink Room, located on the 1st floor of the building.

Constellatia is the collaborative vision of Gideon Lamprecht and Keenan Oakes, founders of Crow Black Sky and Wildernessking respectively.

Yndian Mynah is a four-piece instrumental post-rock band with two album releases to date. Their sound can be described as post-rock music with hints of dreamy psychedelia, post-punk and prog-rock that vacillate sounds between explosive edges and nostalgic narratives.

I never label any of the recordings that I make using the voice memo app on my phone. Because of that, they all get automatically saved under the name of the location where a recording had taken place. Before the release of Thetha Mama – Zolani Mahola’s debut album as The One Who Sings – I revisited a short recording that I had captured at The Baxter Theatre last year. It was a spellbinding moment during the final night of Zolani’s one-woman stage production (also called The One Who Sings) when she had invited the audience to repeat a series of affirmations after her: “I am safe. I am worthy. I am innocent. I am cherished. I am loved. I am a gift to this world.” - Dan Charles

The concept behind the shoot was to create a unique editorial photoshoot in a jungle-like location. Focusing on one angel-like character exploring a dream-like wilderness. Achieving this look through means of wardrobe, jewellery and composition of both the images and video. The video was focused more on the exploration of the wilderness and the 120film images focused more on the dream-like look as well as capturing the clothing and jewellery.
