IPASI - Jabulile Majola

Jabulile Majola’s debut album takes its name from the isiZulu for “ID document”, and it works like one: a record of who he is, filed in sound. Heartbreak arrives over soulful, Sunday-morning instrumentation, stories of men leaving home to make a living ride Maskandi-influenced guitar melodies, and gratitude to the people listening comes carried on delicate piano. It plays out like a feature film, rich in visual depth and narrative that translates beyond language. As he puts it: “All things that live grow, and all things that grow, change.”

gabby - giuliette price

gabby is a story of betrayal, a confession of jealousy, and the painful realisation that greed can disrupt what you already have. It is a song about watching trust unravel as greed turns into heartbreak. Sweet, upbeat, and deceptively happy sounding, the song hides its ache in plain sight, “Oh Gabby, can’t you see my eyes are green” landing as both accusation and confession.

Written composed and performed by giuliette price
Produced by Greg Abrahams
Mixed by Ross Dorkin
Mastered by Mike Zietsman
Jason Marshall (Piano, Keyboards)
Cover by giuliette price, Brig Stanford & Skyla Haley
