Cape Town Gospel Choir

Cape Town Gospel Choir Founded in 2010 by Origin South Africa. We are Christian in ethos, but welcome those of all faiths and none.

The Cape Town Gospel Choir (www.ctgc.org.za) is a multi-racial performing arts group based in Cape Town and a project of Origin South Africa. One of our main aims is to promote unity and understanding in communities through music, irrespective of racial, social, generational and economic divisions. To this end we actively promote membership of the choir across all communities in Cape Town, seeking

to maintain a balance of members from different socio-economic groups, and perform in both rich and poor suburbs in an effort to increase social cohesion and understanding.

We are super excited about this one and can’t wait to welcome Travis Cottrell to Cape Town

We're super excited to announce that world-renowned worship leader Travis Cottrell will be leading a project next year to Cape Town, South Africa! This project is unlike anything we've done before.

In August 2027, we're taking the Power Praise Band and a 100-voice choir to Cape Town, South Africa - joined by the incredible Cape Town Gospel Choir - to share the Gospel through worship in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

We'll be performing in churches and schools, and our final concert will be at the Cape Town City Hall - on the steps of which Nelson Mandela spoke to the crowds after his release from prison.

If you have experience singing in a church choir, then we have a spot for you. No audition required - we'll send you the choral parts in advance so you can come ready to sing.
