Funds generated by our competitions go towards charitable causes, getting people to think beyond themselves and become more conscious of their impact on the world. We offer people the opportunity to 'party with a cause' by combining the chance to win a season ticket to a host of festivals while at the same time giving towards charitable causes. We hope to unite different communities of people thro
ughout the entertainment industry and get them working together to make a positive change in the world. The participation of the public through social media allows people to connect on a large scale, discussing and voting en masse for their favourite charities and ultimately deciding, together, who they want to receive the profits of the competition. We want people talking about the different areas of our city that are adversely affected and need the help of the community, and hopefully raise enough awareness to inspire people to take up certain issues themselves, and start their own movement for change. Our current focus is that of environmental and educational aid. We have teamed up with GREENPOP who plant indigenous and fruit trees in under-greened schools, creches and community centres in and around Cape Town. They aim to educate people of the importance of the environment, and believe that planting trees is positively linked to community upliftment and a sense of pride of place. They have to date planted over 3000 trees, and we want to make that number higher.
