30 YEARS OF LOYALTY, SKILL & Tuff Timber Company HISTORY 💙🪵
In July 1996, a young 17-year-old Armstrong joined us as an assistant in our factory.
He had no previous woodworking experience — just a willingness to learn and work.
Once he turned 18, Armstrong started accompanying our teams to installation sites. It didn’t take long before his ability became clear and he eventually took charge as a team leader.
One thing that always made Armstrong stand out was his incredible ability to read and understand drawings and diagrams.
No lengthy explanations required.
Give Armstrong the drawing... and wait for the finished product.
Over the years, he became involved in numerous design and development projects at Tuff Timber. In 1999, Armstrong played an important role in developing our freestanding jungle gym units — a concept that remains part of our product range today.
And now, 30 years later, Armstrong is still going strong.
Perhaps a little older and a little greyer 😄 — but with the same enthusiasm, dedication and pride in his work as that 17-year-old youngster who walked into our factory three decades ago.
As we celebrate 30 years of Tuff Timber, we’re also celebrating the people who helped build the company along the way.
