2 Girls and a Dad

It was Erin’s birthday, so along with a massive cake, I took the family to the Barnyard Theatre, and we had an amazing time. I also got her clothing and a PlayStation 4 game, which has been great fun, although it did bring a bit of anxiety, as our competitive sides tend to show up uninvited.
Moments like these stay with you. They’re special, full of laughter, but there’s that reminder in the back of your mind, somewhere between the cake, the music, and the inevitable “rematch”, it hits you, she’s growing up and isn’t my little one anymore. I suppose now she’s just a slightly taller, sharper, more competitive version, who still expects cake and a win.
Oh, and as we celebrated over Easter the search for the hidden Easter eggs is still enjoyed.

I took the girls to Gordon’s Bay and what a beautiful time it turned out to be. These are the moments I want to remember.

We visited the cheetah rehabilitation centre and spent time learning about these incredible animals. Seeing them up close was something really special.

After that we headed to Lourensford where we enjoyed some great pizza together and the girls drank bo-bo’s. We finished the day at Vergelegen Estate with an olive oil pairing, something a little different and surprisingly interesting. Needless to say the girls ravished the crackers and olives.

What started as a cold and wet weekend in beautiful Port Owen turned into the perfect little escape once the skies cleared and the sun showed up! 🙌

We were truly blessed with great weather, but even more so with amazing company and the much-needed unwind time.

Funny enough, we packed cards and board games but never even touched them, we were too busy laughing, chatting, exploring, and just soaking it all in. Sometimes the best moments are the unplanned ones.

I took the girls to visit Shona and Aidan in Stellenbosch, and it turned out to be a truly special day. I got to experience the joy of simply being their dad—watching them laugh, interact, and share jokes was heartwarming. I'm deeply grateful for my incredible children, who are not only my greatest accomplishments but also my closest friends.

On Sunday, February 23rd, 2024, Tatum made the beautiful decision to be baptized. I am beyond proud of her for choosing to accept the Lord Jesus as her Savior. My little girl is growing up and making such thoughtful, faith-filled choices for her future. May God's love and guidance continue to bless her on this journey, and may she always walk in His light

This Christmas and New Year's, we created unforgettable memories with our loved ones in Johannesburg. For the first time, the kids met relatives they had only heard about, forming special bonds that will last a lifetime.

Our days were filled with laughter and excitement – from friendly competitions over board games to splashing around in the pool. We indulged in delicious feasts, had a blast at ten-pin bowling and Bounce, and cherished hours of meaningful conversations.

We're deeply grateful to Auntie Auds and Uncle Ken for warmly opening their home to us, making this family reunion truly special.

We'll always treasure the love, connection, and adventure we shared together.

As the weather has been so miserable, and I have been spending time in JHB with Ken & Auds, my time with the girls has been a little less.
I am not a great chef but we all took on the challenge of making scones and then on their next visit chocolate brownies. Both of which turned out delicious. We also caught up with our stone painting in anticipation of the weather getting better.
