I remember watching an old video of mine and how I absolutely cringed 😑😂.
As I look at that younger version of myself, I'm reminded of something important:
God calls us to grow, not to stay the same.
This Youth Day, I pray young people won't settle for the lie that they never need to change. Real freedom isn't found in following our hearts, it's found in following Christ ♥️.
And how beautiful it is that while God calls us higher, He is also patient with us as we learn to walk with Him.
There is something sacred about surrender. It's not always comfortable, but it is beautiful. Every time we lay down our pride, our plans, and our own understanding to trust God, He shapes us more into who He created us to be.
I'm thankful for the growth. I'm thankful for the correction. I'm thankful for the grace.
Most of all, I'm thankful that God loved me too much to leave me where I was. ❤️
To the youth: Don't be afraid to grow. Don't be afraid of God's correction. Don't be afraid to surrender.
The same God who calls you higher is the God who will carry you there. ❤️
And always remember, Jesus loves you ♥️.
