Dedicated to performing, the members of the InSPIRAtions Youth Company, formed in honour of the late
Prima Ballerina Assoluta Phyllis Spira, are drawn from DFA’s Bridging Programme and the DFA Centre. They have a versatile and exciting repertoire that lends itself to a range of performing situations - from
professional theatre productions to corporate events and on request, works are specially cho

reographed
for particular occasions. The InSPIRAtions Youth Company provides a platform for dancers who are keen to
pursue a professional career in the theatre, who has the required talent, attitude and aptitude, and meets
the standard it takes to be trained, molded and mentored for a career as a professional dancer. In addition, DFA opens the pre-professional InSPIRAtions Youth Company on the way forward, and since
the effect of Covid-19 on the well-being, morale, economic and social needs, of all dancers within the age
requirement, irrespective of demographics such as gender, race, ethnicity, and geographic area
