Over the last few years my obsession with Posthumanism, Monstrosity and Post-Surrealism has shifted towards diagnosing the artistic output of unquiet minds greatly. My understanding of Surrealism and its emphasis on identity multiplication has steadily developed into an ever-expanding concern for identity loss or theft, emptiness, psychological fracturing, inertia and neurosis/psychosis. It has become my obsession to capture that which is ephemeral and on the brink of surrendering to extreme disorder. I am a lateral Think Tank for the chaotic creativity that swirls and imprints itself amongst our destabilising environment. Common social imagery is almost always subjected to a surrealist void or abstract space.
The production of art is my coping mechanism. But most importantly, my artistic output is a very personal invitation to everyone who is addicted to the 'metamorphic' and symbolic power of the visual arts.
Writing surreal fiction based on my life experiences assists with my will to live.
Photography keeps my memory vivid and my eyes curious.
Moreover, I have always been fascinated by the deliberate absence of highly probable subject matter in allegedly contentious abject, surreal or macabre dream-based imagery. I try to generate as many abstracted or contorted images as possible to keep my mind open to lateral and subversive ideas. My mental state serves as the paradigm or platform on which to build unique and unusual connections such as mutable sculpture, digital data diagrams, protean sketches on abstract renderings, and an array of digital fine art prints.

Below are four moody hues of blue, all of them human-centred and distilled in the agnostic hope that there is more to life than artificial ecstacy. I am not a expert photographer, but what I create through this medium often result in emotive images - the majority of them contaminated by a soft and cool blue... a sort of paranatural blue fog. All four of these works share the same spiritual property. This atmospheric resonance carries with it something deep within me, something that I like to refer to as a Higher State of Autumnal Awareness - an emotion inextricably linked to 'cold ecstacy'. It's connected to my transient catatonic states associated with anhedonic bliss. During these short episodes I am pleasantly paralyzed. So, as a gestalt, these abstract images are aloof versions of myself. They are metaphysical portraits; every one of them disclosing an aspect of my True Blue Self. (Steyn, R. 29/09/2034)

The Woodcutter's Dialectical Daughter Merges with a Miro Flightmare (One of my New Happy Paintings) - She recalls the possum. Her hair follicles itch as synaptic screens re-enact the day of the pataphysical spider. Her spider mind. Her dreams of being tied to a tree in the center of the forest whilst being sexually violated by a colony of RED ANTS. Her metaphysical cravings for termites posing as nurses sent by the Red Cross Foundation. Amongst all these fragments of memory she also found a d-a-m-a-g-e-d copy of her father. He was made of wood just like she remembered. He was holding some tools. He was cutting down some trees. He was cutting up. Cara was a cut-up. The blood on her face was glue. Her skin was peeling barK. Her wooden face was smooth and voluptuous. She became a wooden wonder. She became a mother to those who considered themselves slightly less human. She was what the insects called home. The droning of the beetles gave her the Red Power. A red serpent trickled down her nose. Something writhed under her flaky hide. The Black Centipede that ensured her upright posture began to speak in tongues. Did they notice? Her wooden mask was slipping. Cara knew just how extreme insectness could be. She had to do something. Blank stare. Insect evil. A song for the flies discharging eggs inside my throat. And then - an abject expressive painting appears. Hello Cara!

I have ordered a perspex container for it and I know it's going to look spectacular. This idea was conceived whilst sipping on a bottle of Blue Gin. What should I ask for this mechanical craboid??? All in all it's a mixture of synthetic flowers for Algernon and stainless steel proteas for Adonic androids. I'm presenting three A-Versions below for no apparent reason.
