🎬 Submission Fee Waiver Now Open: HACC Festival 2026, please share far and wide with African, Middle Eastern and Asian filmmaker communities.
The Hollywood African Cinema Connection (HACC) Festival is opening a one-week submission fee waiver for filmmakers across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia from 18–25 May 2026.
As part of our ongoing commitment to increasing access and amplifying bold, independent voices from the Global South, filmmakers can submit one film free of charge during this limited waiver period.
While we are particularly interested in strong feature films for our Opening and Closing Night screenings, submissions are not limited to features. We welcome films across all formats and genres, including:

We are looking for compelling stories, innovative voices, and cinematic works with local relevance and global resonance.

The Hollywood African Cinema Connection Festival will take place at the iconic V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa.
Opening Night will feature a premiere screening at the District Six Homecoming Centre’s 300-seat Star Theatre, followed by an exclusive rooftop networking session overlooking the city skyline.
