JOURNEY HOME

At some point, we have all wandered down a road that disappears beyond the horizon.

This image of mine is a reminder that life unfolds as it should. Each of us is on a soul journey, and there is a path uniquely our own. Cherish your journey, because every road leads us somewhere.

My image, NEW DAWN, reflects the peace that wide open spaces bring to our spirit in a world that has become so built up and busy. Birds flying low, small animals moving freely, the slow turning of a windmill—these simple moments remind us of who we truly are.

Perhaps the absence of peace is at the heart of so much turmoil in our lives. Returning to the basics, slowing down, and reconnecting with nature allows us to remember what matters most.

Too short to put up with other people’s emotional garbage.
They never came in with you.
They won’t go out with you.
Life is too short to be jealous, moody and unhappy.
Life is too short to gossip, blame and hold onto grudges.
Every moment is a choice between love and fear.
Let go of everything that is shortening your life.
Allow the new to flow in.
Life is too short to say I will do it tomorrow.
Life is too short to not get your heart broken.

Sometimes I think we have it backwards.

We call animals unconscious, yet when I stood before this beautiful flock in the Eastern Cape, every eye was present, attentive, and aware. There was a quiet connection in that moment that reminded me how deeply nature listens.

Perhaps it is we humans who need to become more conscious of how we treat the animals who share this world with us. ❤️

I decorated my new fun and funky hat yesterday. 👒✨

One of the lovely things about being 60 is that you stop worrying so much about what other people think.

You wear what you love.

You create what brings you joy.

You become more yourself.

I've always loved nature, photography, colour, creativity and, of course, hats. 😊

This one started out plain and ordinary, but after a little imagination, some ribbon and a feather, it now feels much more like me.

Colourful.

A little quirky.

A little wild.

And still evolving.

Much like its owner. ❤️
