23 SEPTEMBER. THE WAIT IS OVER.

For months, we’ve been building towards this moment.

Today, WGRUV Season 3 enters a new chapter — ANGELS IN AFRICA: Lift The Line.

And at the heart of this season finale is a work that has travelled through generations of dance history.

Diversion of Angels.

Created by Martha Graham in 1948, this landmark work traces three expressions of love — adolescent, romantic and mature.

This year, as the Martha Graham Dance Company celebrates its centennial, WGRUV is honoured to bring Diversion of Angels to South African stages for the very first time.

In this conversation, Lorenzo Pagano and Holly Gruver take us inside the work, its history, and what it means to bring this masterwork to South Africa.

But while you’ve been watching what’s been happening on stage, something else has been taking shape behind the scenes. And now, it’s almost time…
