Like all of us, I am learning as I go and as I share, I learn. Art has been my Sanctuary, my safe place in this world ever since the age of 14 when I bought my first easel, oils and canvas sheets. It was more than just an escape from life as it helped me to express my feelings. The process of creating calmed my mind and this helped me come up with answers and solutions to issues that I struggled with. We all have within us the ability to find answers to all life's questions and therefore we are one another's students , teachers, and guides. Art is the Truth of the soul, the soul's interpretation of nature, of life and living. It is not imitation but recreation. It comes from the heart and therefore you should not be dictated to. There is no right or wrong way and it is not about performance. No one can create your picture. They might be able to to copy it after you have created it, but only you can create your picture. That makes you unique.
