Join me as I visit the Oranjezicht farmers market near the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, South Africa. This farmers-style market is held every Saturday and Sunday at the historic Granger Bay site, where you can enjoy produce from local farmers, organic and artisanal food stalls.

Here you’ll find fresh-from-the-patch veggies and herbs, fruit, bread, organic dairy products, free-range eggs, raw honey, muesli, and ethically sourced meats and seafood. Plus, there’s a wonderful array of artisanal food stalls selling amazing cooked and raw dishes for all palates and preferences, from carnivores to vegans, chocoholics to diabetics. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, space for the kids and dogs, and a family-friendly vibe.

CAPE TOWN - 🌼 Flowering tea or blooming tea consists of a bundle of dried tea leaves wrapped around one or more dried flowers. These are made by binding tea leaves and flowers together into a bulb, then setting them to dry.
When steeped in hot water, the bundle expands and unfurls in a process that emulates a blooming flower, and the flowers inside emerge as the centerpiece.

Blooming tea is a great antioxidant tea, with benefits that include boosting the metabolism, protecting the skin, preventing chronic diseases like cancer, lowering stress, improving oral and heart health, stimulating cognitive function, and reducing inflammation.
