We will be open this Sunday (28 June) for fun train rides. Bring the kids and start their holiday properly! We look forward to welcoming you at our club 😁

Our new small scale Model Train section is up and running, and we will be running these again this Sunday.

Bring that box of trains that you have gathering dust and come join the fun. If you're not sure if they still work, our members can help you to clean and test them.

Onthou ons nuwe klein-modeltrein afdeling is vandag by die klub! Bring jou ou HO-gauge treine - as jy nie weet wat jy het nie, bring in elk geval! Ander skale ook welkom.

Ons gewone treinritte sal ook van 13:00-16:00 oop wees soos altyd 😊

Het jy enige klein modeltreine wat lê en stof optel? Ons klub is besig om die miniatuurspoorweg-afdeling van die stokperdjie weer aan die gang te kry! 🚂

Benewens ons stoomlokomotiewe (live steam) en "groot" dieseltreine, wil ons ook die tafelmodeltreine, soos HO-skaal (en moontlik ander skale), weer by die klub vestig.

Indien jy belangstel in modeltreine, of graag wil help om die HO-spoorweg weer aan die gang te kry, kom besoek ons gerus môremiddag van 13:00 af by die klub. Ons verwelkom nuwe en ou entoesiaste!

Do you have any small model trains gathering dust at home?

Our club is in the process of rekindling the miniature railway side of the hobby! 🚂

In addition to our live steam and ride-on diesel trains, we are also looking to revive tabletop model railways, including HO scale (and possibly other scales), at the club.

If you are interested in model trains, or would like to help us get the HO railway running again, please come and visit the club tomorrow from 13:00. We welcome both new and experienced enthusiasts!

Do you have any historical information about the BSME and Modenso Park? Do you perhaps have any old issues of Filings, our newsletter? Any interesting historical photos? You can help us!

Our club secretary has recently started a project to document our club's history in more detail. Why this is important to us:

1) Most of our current members have joined in the last two years, and many of us don't know much about our club's story.
2) Our club's records are incomplete, and we're trying to fill the gaps while we still can. Our club has so many great stories, and they need to be preserved for future members.
3) The long term plan is to upgrade / update our museum with interesting stories, photos and articles for our visitors.

We are specifically looking for issues of Filings (club newsletter):
1) Issues from pre-1972
2) Issues from 1987 to 1991
3) Issues after 1995
