Here is a little clarification regarding my production process.
My standard production time is 12 weeks. The reason is simple: I do not produce substandard work. Every item that leaves my workspace meets a high standard of craftsmanship, and quality takes time.
Like any other business, I am also dependent on suppliers and external timelines. If a specific fabric is not available locally, sourcing and processing can take up to three weeks on its own. Orders placed or processed during December may take longer due to industry-wide slowdowns.
Load shedding and extended power outages — sometimes 30+ hours at a time — significantly affect production. While I plan carefully, these disruptions are beyond my control and do impact turnaround times.
In addition to being a business owner and creator, I am first and foremost a wife and mother. I work mostly when my household is settled — often late at night. Some days allow for long production hours, but realistically I work between 4–6 focused hours per day. My child’s development and wellbeing remain my top priority, and I will not compromise quality by rushing orders.
Deposits are required because materials are purchased upfront and production slots are allocated specifically for each client. I have previously experienced large custom orders being cancelled after materials were sourced, which creates significant financial risk. Deposits protect both my business and the production schedule.
Once an order is confirmed, a job sheet is created and materials are calculated and allocated. Any changes made after confirmation disrupt workflow and scheduling. Therefore, changes may extend the production timeline by approximately two additional weeks to allow for proper adjustment.
Rush orders may be considered on a case-by-case basis. However, they will incur a non-negotiable 60% surcharge, and no item will be released until the full account has been settled.
I deeply appreciate my loyal and patient clients who respect the process and understand that quality craftsmanship requires both time and structure. Your continued support means more than you know.
