Earlier this month, we celebrated the graduation of our UVUKO Creative Entrepreneurship Incubator Programme cohort, marking the successful completion of the programme’s accredited learning component and months of learning, growth, creativity and entrepreneurial development.

Since May, our creative entrepreneurs have taken part in industry immersions, workshops, classroom challenges and sessions with industry experts, building the knowledge, skills and confidence to strengthen their creative enterprises.

Surrounded by their families, peers, facilitators and the Sibikwa team, our graduates were recognised for their commitment and progress throughout this important phase of their UVUKO journey.

A special thank you to the Entrepreneurship Development Trust (EDT) for partnering with us to make this journey possible and for investing in the growth of emerging creative entrepreneurs from Ekurhuleni.

To our UVUKO Class of 2026—congratulations on reaching this milestone! 🎓 While the classroom chapter may be complete, the journey continues. With mentorship and further business development ahead, we look forward to seeing how your ideas, enterprises and ambitions continue to grow. 🚀

Gcebile Dlamini is no stranger to the stage. An actor, director, writer and community theatre practitioner, she brings years of experience in performance, storytelling and community arts to the Seriti sa Basadi Women's Month festival.

With her dynamic approach to theatre and passion for creating spaces where stories and people connect, Gcebile is the perfect person to guide us through an afternoon of music, poetry, culture and celebration. 💜

As our Master of Ceremonies, Gcebile will keep the energy flowing and bring the afternoon together with her warmth and wit.

The Sibikwa Arts Academy Dance Ensemble take the Seriti stage! 💃🏾

The Sibikwa Arts Academy Dance Ensemble will perform a special dance piece created especially for Seriti Sa Basadi.

Bringing together dance artists and choreographer Khethokuhle Mathe’s dynamic choreography and the energy of the SAA Dance Ensemble, this original piece explores movement as a language for expression, storytelling and connection.

Expect a performance filled with energy, movement and a few surprises, something to get you watching, feeling and moving along with the dancers. This is one performance you’ll want to experience live! 🔥

Welcome the Soweto Theatre Youth Orchestra to Sibikwa! 🎻✨

Bringing together 30 young musicians from across Soweto, the Soweto Theatre Youth Orchestra is an exciting orchestral collective creating dynamic sounds through collaboration, musicianship and youthful expression.

Umzulu Phaqa is coming to Sibikwa! 🎶🔥

Blending Maskandi, Gospel, Hip Hop, Soul and Nguni Pop, Umzulu Phaqa brings a sound rooted in isiZulu musical expression while unmistakably her own.

Drawing inspiration from a rich mix of influences like the legendary Brenda Fassie, her music carries the nostalgia of 80s sounds into a bold, contemporary energy made for listening, feeling and moving.

This Women’s Month, she brings her debut album Volume 1 to Seriti Sa Basadi Women's Month Festival
