Most of them were fishermen, laborers, or men with no special status. They were not rich, powerful, or highly educated, but they were willing to follow Jesus. Jesus called them to leave their old lives behind and learn from Him. They walked with Him, ate with Him, and witnessed His teachings, miracles, suffering, death, and resurrection. Through these experiences, they were prepared to carry His message to the world. After Jesus rose from the dead and returned to heaven, the Apostles were given the responsibility to spread the gospel. They traveled to different regions, teaching that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for the sins of humanity, and that He rose again to give new life to all. Their work was not easy. They faced rejection, imprisonment, beatings, and persecution. Many of the Apostles were killed for their faith. Despite fear and hardship, they remained committed to their mission and did not deny what they had seen and believed.
