I think one hotdog jar will need to be draped with candy jewelry. There’s candy necklaces, watches, rings, bracelets. So many options

If you love the bags of oranges you might be saying “omg I need some mini bags of oranges!” You need to check out bags of oranges and other foods and produce. Yesss, do it

Video description:
We see part of the process of making polymer clay lollipop rings. The pop is stuck in a circle of clay. Then the baked pop and circle have a ring attached to the bottom. We also see some mini hotdogs that are a work in progress. Then bags or oranges, a paper crane, cherry pie, a BPJ sandwich, a toaster tart, gelatin, and paper chains

Part of the issue with making these is things keep coming up and I’ve had weeks of time that I haven’t been able to work on these. But now we’re back to it and things are going good. I’ll keep you updated. 2 more weeks probably 😅

I can’t show off a bag of oranges without thinking of Dina’s incredible work at ⭐️velanidi⭐️ . You should follow them if you like little foods, mini bags of produce, and more

Video description:
We start off seeing a bunch of anthropomorphic, polymer, clay, hot dogs. They’re sitting on a tile holding a variety of food foods. Their eyes are white and pupil-less. Then we are shown them one at a time starting with one holding a balloon animal, thin, one with cherry pie, Ramen, charcuterie, board, paper, people chain, shrimp, croissant, with mustard, banjo, chattering tea, sushi, platter, book, burrito, pastry tart, tin of fish, fried egg, in a pan, burger, gelatin, lemon, meringue, crate of watermelons, peanut butter, and jelly sandwich, can of corn, blueberries, bag of oranges.

Making mini little Jack-o-lanterns with spooky “facts” and some complaining.
I forgot to add that I put a clear coat of glossy polyurethane on this when it’s done.

Video description:
We start out looking at 4 super mini polymer clay jack-o-lanterns in a palm. Then we see some of the process of making them. And orange gradient is created and rolled into a tube. A nearly white orange is squished around a foil ball. A slice of the gradient is squished over that next. The pumpkin is dusted with pigment and shaped. Then the pumpkin is baked off screen and it’s carved carefully with a safety glove holding the pumpkin. Then the foil inside of the pumpkin is removed. The scraps are swept up with a mini broom and dustpan. A stem is added to the top.

I’m trying to make a pickle with a more subtle gradient and it has been a bit of a struggle for me. I don’t think I’ve solved it quite yet. Also I whine a lot

Video description:
We see much of the process of making a picture pickle out of polymer clay. First we start, and we see a variety of already baked polymer, clay, pickles. Then we see a photo of a pickle. Then two already made gradient canes. Then we see three colors being rolled out. They are then made into a block. That is rolled out. It’s rolled out over and over again until it becomes a consistent gradient. A piece of sliced off and shaped into a pickle and rubbed on a textured tool.

Every day I’m torn between loving the ability to be an artist that shares my art with the world also while working from home and owning this evil phone.
So many good and bad things associated with having a phone. It’s definitely a tricky balance.
If you missed it at the end I share the movie was What About Bob. Top 10 movie. Did you know Richard Dreyfus actually hates Bill Murray?

Video description:
We watch a cartoon style hotdog being made out of melty beads. At the end it’s hung up in a little nook with plastic hotdogs and a wooden toy train

*Note* I know clay bricks need to breathe. I’m not looking for any suggestions or help with painting my bricks 🧡
Painting bricks for the mailbox
I'm often asked what paint do I use. I use heavy body Golden Acrylic. This isn't an ad though, they're just my favorite brand that l've used almost exclusively since college. The key for painting a brick that will last is the quality of the paint, the type of brick, and the application. A concrete brick will last longer than a clay one because the clay bricks need to breathe and need different paint.
And don't dig it out of the yard. And clean it first. I start with a watered down gesso to wash over the brick. Really get it in those cracks. Then another coat. Then I start painting with the acrylic.
Then a few coats of an outdoor water based polyurethane. And you've got yourself a painted brick.
Video description:
First we see bricks painted to look like butter placed around a mailbox. Then concrete deviled eggs. Then we see 4 separate bricks in various stage of painting. They're painted to look like tons of fish and one tin of hotdogs with a tinned fish theme. They're placed around a mailbox

The greatest joys of thrifting and garage sailing is finding something so cool that’s also super cheap. Even more amazing is a free pile. My favorite thrift shop locals to Rochester NY are Fairport Craft Bits and Pieces and The Tool Thrift Shop. They’re nonprofit and benefits local seniors. 10/10

Video description:
We start out looking at some old porcelain dolls. Then an old wooden chair for a doll. Then we see a cast iron WWI toy of a man with 2 birds. Then the chair again and a stuffed hotdog goes in it. Then a wooden plate painted to look like a watermelon. Then a wooden sun. A wall of art has a moon shelf with mini stairs lined with tiny vintage porcelain dolls. We see the shelf of stuff again including an old toy cart iron firetruck. There’s a decorative wooden horse. We end on a second wooden sun
