Cancer changes so many things.

It changes your body.
It changes your confidence.
Sometimes it even changes the way you see yourself.

But healing does not end when treatment does.

For many women, one of the most emotional moments comes much later when they are finally ready to take the last step in their breast reconstruction journey.

I have been privileged to share that moment with women for more than a decade.

Not just as a specialist, but as a breast cancer survivor, a nurse, and the person who pioneered this work in the United States when very few were even talking about restorative ar**la tattooing as part of reconstruction.

I have built my entire practice around this one focus because I have seen what happens when it is done with skill, and I have also seen what happens when it is not.

Restoring an ar**la is never just about restoring an ar**la.

It is about helping someone recognize themselves again.

That responsibility has shaped everything we have built at Pink Ink Tattoo.

From the beginning, this practice has been dedicated exclusively to restorative ar**la tattooing and medical pigmentation for breast cancer survivors. Every decision we have made, our Ink, our standards, the way we care for patients, even the way we protect their privacy, has been guided by one belief:

You deserve to be treated as a person, not as content.

You deserve to be cared for with experience, compassion, and respect.

And you deserve a provider who does not just understand this work in theory, but has lived it, studied it, and built a practice around doing it at the highest level, helping pioneer standards within the industry through education, public awareness, community outreach, and advocacy efforts that continue to shape how restorative care is recognized and supported.

An unforgettable night at Maria Parham’s Boot Out Cancer event in Henderson, NC 💖

So grateful for the chance to spend time with Lisa Robertson and Al Robertson as they shared their story of faith, marriage, perseverance, and Lisa’s breast cancer journey with such honesty and strength. From one survivor to another, there is something powerful about being in a room with people who truly understand the fight, the fear, the gratitude, and the purpose that comes after it 🎀.

What an unforgettable experience this has been. 💗

Getting to represent North Carolina as the 2026 Remarkable Woman and share the mission behind Pink Ink Tattoo and the Pink Ink Promise Foundation has been such an incredible honor.

Sitting down with Hayley Wielgus and WKRN in Nashville gave me the opportunity to reflect on this journey, from surviving breast cancer to finding purpose in helping other women heal, rebuild confidence, and feel seen again after some of life’s hardest moments.

One of the most meaningful parts of this experience was meeting so many extraordinary women from across the country, each with their own story, heart for people, and impact on their communities. To stand alongside them was truly an honor.

I’m beyond grateful for every survivor who has trusted me, every person who has supported this mission, and every opportunity to continue raising awareness and bringing light to survivorship, healing, and hope 🎀.

Still hard to put into words what this has meant 🎀.

Getting the chance to sit down with CBS17 and share the story behind Pink Ink Tattoo was incredibly special, especially because this journey was never just about me. It’s about every woman who walked through my doors carrying strength, vulnerability, courage, and trust.

What began during one of the hardest chapters of my life with breast cancer became a purpose I never could have planned for. Along the way, I’ve met some of the most inspiring women and families, and their stories continue to shape my heart and remind me why this work matters so deeply 💗.

I’m truly grateful to CBS17 for telling this story with such care and compassion, and thankful for everyone who has supported Pink Ink Tattoo throughout the years. Every message, every appointment, every prayer, every kind word has meant more than I can fully express.

And this chapter is only continuing to grow. I’m excited to soon share another very special moment and opportunity ahead with all of you soon!

She’s dedicated her life to helping and caring for others and continues to do so to this day. Now, she utilizes her skills as a nurse to help breast cancer survivors and others at her medical office for Pink Ink Tattoo with cleints traveling from all across the world for her specialized services.

Such a powerful day at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure this past weekend. So much love, so much support, and a beautiful reminder of why this community shows up the way it does.

Celebrating Tara’s journey as a survivor alongside other survivors like Lori, and incredible women who help make this all possible like Bonnie, Jen, and so many others, while honoring the ones we carry with us, is what makes this so meaningful.

Tara Williamson and Alex Williamson spent last Friday at Lenovo’s global headquarters in Morrisville.

From walking up and seeing Pink Ink Tattoo featured at the entrance, to learning about the campus, testing out the goalie stop game, to sitting down with the Empower the Triangle team, it was a day that felt both natural and genuinely productive. Real conversations, shared ideas, and time spent actually building on what is already in motion.

As an Empower the Triangle winner, the continued collaboration between Pink Ink Tattoo, Pink Ink Promise Foundation, and Lenovo is something we value and see potential with. There is already meaningful work behind it, and this visit reinforced the kind of alignment and momentum that makes what comes next even more exciting.
