Minntah Haefker | Creep cover

A powerful and incredibly soulful singer in the way she carries emotion through a song. She really makes this one her own.

We shot this in one afternoon at the very tail end of her Chiang Mai run, after a couple months of gigs and good times. She’s Thai-American, now based in Portland, but left a real imprint here.

It was my first time leaving Thailand since March 2020 and Hanoi really hit the spot.

It’s full chaos but also not? Crossing the street is basically Frogger but somehow it works and no one dies. There’s a rhythm to it that you just have to trust. Visually it’s kind of insane with vibrant life unfolding in every direction. Old Town has this beautiful and decadent decay, while the French Quarter feels like the finest streets in Paris. Trees grow out of and alongside most buildings, tangled wires, faded colours, everything layered and alive.

Lots of walking. Late into the night. The city never really dies down, it just shifts.

And the food! Oh the egg coffee. Banh mi on repeat. Endless bowls of noodles. That unforgettable black chicken soup. Every meal just kept landing.

Had the best time with this crew and would go back in a heartbeat. 🇻🇳 ❤️ 🔥
