Paris, we’re bringing Manila with us. 🇵🇭🇫🇷
This October, 14 Filipino artists will come together for Manille à Paris: Contemporary Dialogues, a major group exhibition presented during Paris Art Week.
Organized by DF Art Agency and Galerie D’Antoine, in collaboration with FOCUS Asia Contemporary Art, the exhibition brings together a dynamic selection of Filipino contemporary artists whose works reflect the diversity, creativity, and evolving perspectives of the Philippine art scene.
This will be one of the largest presentations of Filipino artists in Paris during Paris Art Week, taking place alongside some of the world’s most important art events, including Art Basel Paris, Moderne Art Fair, AKAA, and Asia NOW.
It is an exciting opportunity to place Filipino contemporary art at the heart of the international art world and to create meaningful artistic dialogues between Manila and Paris. 🇵🇭🇫🇷✨
Across painting, sculpture, textiles, design, architecture, and mixed media, the exhibition brings together practices shaped by different generations, disciplines, materials, and ways of seeing. Rather than defining what “Filipino contemporary art” is, Contemporary Dialogues asks what happens when these distinct practices enter the same space—and encounter a new audience, context, and city.
Who writes the history of contemporary art?
