I submitted an entry to the x 48 Bar Challenge at their event last week in London. With so many entries, I wasn’t sure if I’d have a shot at it getting played so you can imagine my shock when my name was called second!

The panel was full of legends: and all listening and providing detailed feedback on the tracks. To get their feedback was invaluable and I’m so grateful for the opportunity! Oh, and the fact that my music was played in Room 1 at is unreal… 🤩🙏

I couldn’t be more proud of the tune I submitted and I’m excited to make some adjustments, finish it, and share it with the world soon!

I’ve been a big fan of R3WIRE’s style of DJing and production for years now and every time I get to see him up close is a treat. Even more special was that this is the second time I’ve handed the decks over to him directly here in San Francisco. That’s a unique feeling and one that I don’t take lightly!

Huge thanks to the team at Halcyon for trusting me with direct support, and all my love to everyone who came out early to dance and be there for me and Champagne Kenny! 🙏💜🥰

WARNING: this is a long one! 😜

No DJ plays a perfect set. Ever. But it’s not about what mistakes you make but rather how quickly you recover from them.

Here’s an extended inner-monologue video showing how I recovered from completely missing my first two cues to introduce the vocal. I knew I wanted to get the second half of the vocal and the main chorus in no matter what, so I had to figure out how to make it work on the fly. I think it worked out alright, no? 😅
