Call for artists!
Applications open soon for artists, makers, and growers to join our 2nd annual Blue Flame Artisan Catalogue project. Artists who create physical products - including, but not limited to, wood crafts, leatherwork, paintings or prints, literature, textiles, photography, music (recordings), bath and body products, food items, jewelry, etc - have the opportunity to partner with the St. Paul & District Arts Foundation to promote their unique crafted items while supporting community arts programs.
To receive an application, please email [email protected] with your request. Note that a limited number of applications will be accepted, and we encourage interested artists to apply earlier rather than later, as preference may be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Success Story Sunday!
I know this dancer who puts in hours of practice weekly. She swears by this "Root Down" yoga and muscle balm for soothing achy, tight, tired muscles in her legs and feet. Do you know a dancer who could benefit from using this? Get in touch with us if you'd like to place an order 😊

Hey men! No-shave November is in full swing.
Are you putting away your razor for the month? Here are some tips to help you get through the month and keep your beard looking trimmed, tamed, and masculine!

1. Apply beard oil daily
If you need to tame your beard and you aren’t using beard oil, this should be numbers one, two, and three on your list! A good beard oil will help keep your skin hydrated and leave your beard feeling ultra-soft, tamed, and smelling great.

2. Shape your beard.
A great way to tame the look of your beard is to comb it and give it a simple cut. After you shower and dry off your beard, you’ll want to brush your beard in the direction you want it to grow. Use a comb that’s designed for beards and has teeth that won't get hung up in your scruff. Comb downward and snip stray hairs and split ends to give your beard a clean, shaped look.
Taking care of your neckline and cheek lines is key for a well-maintained beard. This will help create a solid structure for your beard to flourish. Try ending your beard just above your Adam's apple to define your jawline.

3. Care for your beard.
Shampoo your beard every two to three days, but condition it every day. Beard hairs aren’t like the hairs on your head; they become dry a lot easier.

4. Feed your inner beard.
Men tend to neglect the “inner beard care.” Healthy hair starts on the inside and comes from nutrients obtained through diet and supplementation. Don’t you want every strand of beard hair the fullest, strongest, and genuinely best it can be? Simply put, eat a healthy diet filled with fruits and vegetables, stress less, exercise, and get enough sleep.

Tag someone who needs some beard-taming tips this November! And if you want to order a Beard Basics Kits, which includes beard oil, beard balm, moustache wax, and a beard comb, you have until Monday to place your order with us!
