"A once in a lifetime talent."

Seems so easy to say, right? But, truly, words cannot describe just how apt a statement that is for someone like Tim Curry. Whether he was belting out a song or somehow emoting perfectly under layers of prosthetics, Tim Curry knew how to reach his audience. His voice was unmistakable, the perfect growl beneath a rich baritone that could bring warmth, seduction or even terror when tuned to his will.

There will never be another like him.

Rarely do we see anyone who embodies the classic "Triple Threat" in today's modern cinema and none bring the untethered, madcap energy that Tim brought. He will be remembered as a legendary character actor in the same pantheon as the likes of James Cagney, Lionel Barrymore and Lon Cheney.

From evil clowns to demonic despots, frantic butlers and, yes, even seductive alien doctors, Tim will live on as a pillar in Hollywood's storied history.

Tonight, we raise a glass to a rare legend. "To absent friends..."

We are absolutely stunned and saddened to hear of this today, especially after hearing of Dolly yesterday.

We'll have more to say after we've collected our thoughts.

R.I.P. Doctor.

Tim Curry, the acclaimed film and television actor best known for his role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show," has died, TMZ reported.
