Painting always makes me feel connected to my mom. I was listening to the Wildcard interview with Trixie Mattel today and she said it so well: "if you learn a skill from your mom or your grandma or something, every time you do that skill, you're kind of - they're really there....That is their - that is how we live forever, really, so..."

It's hard to describe that feeling of channeling them, but still being you. It's very special and not a small part of why I do this.

Another in this small series of slip decorated vases! The finishing touches are coming soon!
Tomorrow, I'll be at the Holy Bones Artisan Market (Sunday, October 4th, 1-7) Find my table downstairs in the Firehouse Museum!
After that, the Great Lakes Cup Show is right around the corner. Opening reception for that is Friday, October 23rd at 6:30-8:30, but the exhibition and sale will be open until November 14th with People's Choice voting during that time as well. More details coming soon!
