Eileen Marcotte - not just a fiber artists, a one-of-a-kind GOURD artist! She shares that "falling in love with gourds, it felt natural to combine her fiber arts and basketry knowledge in to gourd art!" Gourds, baskets, weaving, fiber, and more. Her love of creating unique pieces is immediately evident when you step into her Auburn, California studio and class room. She hand picks her gourds from

the field and meticulously prepares them for her art. Many pieces get their inspiration from the natural landscape and season of the picturesque Foothill and Sierra Region around her. Her masks, baskets and weaving designs often blend together touches from the Southwest and African. Eileen teaches class from beginner to advanced. Her work is represented throughout the United States and her gourd masks, baskets, and vessels are held in private collections around the world. She is published in "Gourd Carving" and "The Weekender Gourd Craft"

Well the day is coming to its end. I did accomplish a lot today, just not gourds. Had to take a little down time for my poor hurting wrist.

It has been brought to my attention that facebook has shared my video “incorrectly”. I am so so sorry for anyone who is seeing this mess!
I will no longer be posting videos longer than one minute.
I have tried deleting the videos that facebook has chopped and butchered. I will come up with a different way to share tips.
