Rama AlFarkh builds emotion through gesture, tension, and layered surfaces.

Born in Amman, Jordan and now based in Virginia, AlFarkh’s acrylic paintings explore the psychological weight of instability and conflict. Her figures appear fragmented, folded, and in motion — bodies caught between collapse and resistance, silence and expression.

Through washes of grey, black, white, and muted flesh tones, her compositions feel both vulnerable and forceful. Lines scrape, gather, and dissolve across the canvas, creating forms that seem to carry memory, pressure, and unresolved emotion.

In AlFarkh’s work, the body becomes a site of feeling — a place where conflict is not only witnessed, but physically held.

Taleya Johnson, also known as JET , creates portraits that move between realism and abstraction, body and spirit.

Rooted in stories of resilience, her paintings center women of color as powerful figures of reflection, strength, and transformation. Through expressive color, intimate facial details, layered textures, and intentional composition, each work becomes more than a portrait — it becomes a message of survival, encouragement, and inner power.

Her figures hold emotion quietly but deeply, inviting us to see hardship not as an ending, but as part of the journey toward healing.

HAUS NOWHERE Shenzhen transforms retail into an immersive art world.

Located at MixC World, the space unfolds through the fictional narrative of the “Insect Kingdom” — a 10,000-year story of colossal humans, beasts, and insectoids. Rather than a traditional store, it feels like entering a surreal museum of future mythology.

Highlights include the hyper-realistic sleeping giant The Beginning of Man, towering mechanical beasts, sculptural insect forms, the Freeling Waters mural by Job Wouters and Gijs Frieling, and Gentle Monster’s haunting Three Prophets oracle installation.

A strange, cinematic universe where fashion, art, and storytelling collide.

Introducing fuchsia, a mixed-media artist based in London.

Working with watercolour and oils, she creates dream-like worlds of angels, underwater creatures, and spiritual symbols. Her paintings explore the tension between good and evil, light and dark, and the fragile innocence we often lose in adulthood.

Through soft colour palettes, dynamic brushwork, and celestial imagery, fuchsia reflects on love, vulnerability, climate change, and the moral complexities of our world.

Emerging Perspectives: Anya Kalsi

An exploration of nature’s unseen structures through abstraction, mark-making, and observation.

Presented at The Hive Gallery, Emerging Perspectives brings together works by Anya Kalsi, an emerging contemporary artist working across drawing, oil painting, and installation. Through layered compositions, macro-inspired forms, and repetitive mark-making, Kalsi transforms overlooked natural patterns into immersive visual environments.

Balancing control with spontaneity, the exhibition invites viewers to look closer — at texture, rhythm, detail, and the space between observation and abstraction.

What Takes Form, in Time Unfolds: On Formation and Emergence at Bangkok CityCity Gallery.

A thoughtful exhibition tracing the presence of women artists across Thai art history — not as a sudden emergence, but as something that has been forming, unfolding, and gaining visibility over time.

Through works that explore identity, the body, memory, and lived experience, the exhibition invites us to look again at what has always been present, even when not fully seen.

Quiet, layered, and powerful.

HEATWAVE feels like the right exhibition for the peak of summer — bright, intense, and full of texture.

At , the works move between vivid color, tactile surfaces, natural forms, and scenes that carry both warmth and unease. Some pieces feel lush and playful, while others point to a more urgent reality: the heat, fragility, and changing conditions of the world around us.

The exhibition brings together painting, textile, photography, and sculptural works in a way that feels energetic but grounded. It’s a reminder that summer can be beautiful and restorative, but also something we need to pay closer attention to.

✨ Anna MacRae- recently see at the

British-born and based in Seattle, Anna MacRae creates richly textured mixed media works that blur the line between painting and sculpture. Using oil paint, recycled materials, and found objects, she builds layered surfaces that feel both weathered and intimate.

There’s a sense of history in each work — as if everyday objects and memories have been pressed into the surface and preserved. Imperfect, raw, and deeply material, her art invites you to slow down and look closely at the beauty held within worn textures and ordinary things.
