It does remind me of the sea; there's no doubt in that; the full gusts of wind blowing up against the house, and away again with a kind of suction that takes away any sense of stagnation, helping the blood in my body to accept this existence, to move...
I don't know why but it is a shared experience... the moon, the tides, the stars... the mundanity of being a mother... us, who at our core; yearn freedom like the seeker looks for enlightenment. Us, who at our core, want only to care for our children, to help them thrive.
My work is to maintain balance in this seeming dichotomy until my head rests on my very-loved pillow at the end of each day. Constant work, like that of a muscle, the lungs, the heart.
