1. What's the best part of your role?
It’s been a fun challenge to create visuals while balancing the vision of several different people and it’s been interesting to see how that’s affected the evolution of poster.

2. What's your fave thing about Cicada's?
The very skilful way Anna has managed to balance a convincing facade with a growing sinister undertone as the play progresses

3. What are you most excited for about going to the Fringe?
I’ve never been involved with anything to do with the Fringe so it’s exciting to see how everyone’s hard work behind the scenes has evolved into a real life production that’s going to the famous Fringe!

1. What's the best part of your role?
I love being able to create an atmosphere through lighting and sound to immerse the audience into the play.

2. What's your fave thing about Cicada's?
The moments of tension and uncertainty that leave the audience questioning what will happen next.

3. What are you most excited for about going to the Fringe?
Seeing some amazing shows and meeting lots of people there, especially other techies!

1. What's the best part of your role?
I love being able to watch the production process unfold and even enjoy some of the nitty-gritty admin side of things. It's also really fun to get stuck into marketing :))

2. What's your fave thing about Cicada's?
The show is so nuanced and well-crafted, and I love how it subverts so many tropes of different genres.

3. What are you most excited for about going to the Fringe?
It's amazing to see so many shows going up to the festival this year, so most of all I'm excited to meet people and see as much theatre as I can! Also Edinburgh is such a stunning place, so I'm looking forward to living there for a couple of weeks.

And now for our other amazing co-director, Aoife Pallister Begadon 🤩

1. What's the best part of your role?
My favourite part of my role is helping edit and shape the script to make it work for the fringe. It’s been a challenge but a really interesting exercise to work with Anna to make the production just 55mins long while keeping all the best moments of the play, I think it’s made the play more punchy and fast paced.

2. What's your fave thing about Cicada's?
The unique structure of the story telling and the way it leaves it’s audience to work out what is happening to Danny.

3. What are you most excited for about going to the Fringe?
I haven’t been to the fringe since I was 6, so I’m very excited to watch all of the other shows with a slightly more critical and knowledgeable perspective!
