❄ Among the great list of performers this year, we have music from the Blue Train Saxophone Quartet who are bound to blow you away 🎷

🌟 Originally forming as Saxofun in 2019, a rebranding introduced the Blue Train Saxophone Quartet to the Island in 2021, and since then they have become increasingly busy performing mixed programmes of classical, jazz, celtic, and film music. The band consists of Mike Divers (Soprano Saxophone), Julie Wilsdon (Alto Saxophone), Marcus Tyrer (Tenor Saxophone) and Jenny Wade (Baritone Saxophone).

They are delighted to be ending 2025 with their 8th Concert of the year on the Gaiety Theatre stage as part of Mannanan’s Winterfest, with a performance which will include “Drogh Vraane” arranged for them by David Kilgallon.

❄ Joining the Manannans Winterfest family this year is the spectacular Arts Hub Youth Theatre.

🌟 The Arts Hub Youth Theatre is formed of students aged 15 -20 where they can train as triple threat performers. The group then produce an annual musical with last years, “The 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee” being a huge success.

The students are very excited to be part of Winterfest, having just performed at the Villa Marina for The Arts Hubs 10th Anniversary concert.

As an extra bonus, we will have performances from their teachers, Sally-Anne Wilson and Danielle Bridson. When they’re not teaching, they love an opportunity to sing so they’re delighted that they get to do this together at Manannan’s Winterfest this year!

❄ Performing with us for the second time this year is the amazing Douglas Town Band! 🎺

🌟 Founded in 1887 they are the longest continuously running Brass Band on the Isle of Man and represent Douglas City Council in civic events.The band regularly compete in the Manx Music Festival, and this year had great success winning the Hymn Tune and Brass Band Program classes as well as being awarded second place in the March Class.

Douglas Town Band are renowned for their themed concerts like “Lights Camera Action” and “Shaken not Stirred” building a supportive fan base. They feature many local musicians in their events where they take pride in being able to showcase young musicians within their program.
As well as performing in Winterfest this year they have a very busy Christmas schedule in store!

❄ We are delighted to bring something totally unique this year with works from Digital Aritist and local writer Kyle Withington.

🌟 Kyle, also creator of the podcast series ‘Mona’s Isle’, will share a Christmas-themed mini-episode written specifically for the stage.

He will be joined by the wonderful Sonia Callin (who voices Granny Mona in the show) as they recount a tale of a snowstorm on a Manx Christmas long ago.

With an incredible score and theme music, composed by Winterfest maestro David Kilgallon, this story will be brought to life onstage at this years Mannanans Winterfest!

This really is one not to be missed!
