We continue the Cinema Expanded film club program this Wednesday, on Oct. 21st, starting from 19:30 at Kinemaja e Prizrenit ✨

This week we will follow the story of a university professor who views life entirely through a rational, scientific, and mathematical lens, and his young son, Paweł, who follows in his footsteps.

Their unwavering faith in the flawless calculations of computers and absolute rationality will be tested by a tragic, incalculable event on a frozen lake in winter. A modern masterpiece wheresystematic reason collapses, giving way to profound metaphysical and spiritual questioning.

See you at the cinema!

This Wednesday, we welcome you back to DokuKino for another film selection as part of the Cinema Expanded film club program.

Moving beyond realism, we take a closer look at Polish cinema; this time, we meet Tomek, a 19-year-old postal worker who secretly watches Magda, an older woman through his telescope every night. What begins as a playful, distant obsession unfolding much like an impartial documentary evolves and takes on new dimensions amidst loneliness, pain, and a heart-wrenching quest for unconditional, spiritual love.

See you at DokuKino!

October 7, from 19:30 at Doku Kino, we’re going to the cinema again!

This month, the film club program Cinema Expanded turns its focus to Polish cinema. This Wednesday, we meet Filip, a factory worker whose life begins to change the moment he buys an 8mm camera and becomes a father.

Through this film, we explore how easily the trajectory of a life can shift when passions turn into obsessions, or when seemingly simple responsibilities become a powerful hook that changes the way we know and understand our lives. In this way, the film becomes a visual document of the inner world of a person pushed to the edge in pursuit of his own desires.

Join us as we open this month together with cinema, and a reminder that we meet every Wednesday in Prizren.

The Cinema Expanded film club program welcomes you all every Wednesday this October at DokuKino starting from 19:30!

Under the theme Beyond Realism: From Social Reality to Spiritual Cinema, this program explores a remarkable cinematic transformation in Polish cinema, tracing the shift from the observation of concrete social and political realities toward the invisible, metaphysical dimensions of human existence.

Beginning with the critical perspectives of the late 1970s, when filmmakers increasingly questioned the limits of documentary observation and cinematic representation, the selection moves through the exploration of moral dilemmas, fate, and existential bonds in the late 1980s, culminating in the spiritual and poetic narratives of the early 1990s.

Across these films, realism gradually gives way to questions of faith, intuition, love, and the mysteries of human existence.

See you every Wednesday! ✨
