Anibar is an organization founded by a group of young promising art activists, who have demonstrated their vision and capabilities from the onset of the organization's activities. The organization aims at encouraging young people and especially young artists to experiment and work with computer arts (especially animation), in order to express their ideas and worldview through them, discussing impo

rtant social subjects pertinent to youth in Kosovo. Anibar has already started to work towards its overall goal with capacity-building activities such as training and workshops, debates, and other activities that provide emerging artists with visibility. The organization takes pride in the successful completion of eleven editions of the Anibar International Animation Festival, the first of its kind in Kosovo. During these editions of the festival, more than 3000 films from all around the globe competed against each other in the different categories and competitions of the Festival.

The second zine related workshop took place last every morning last week, with EU support, and Meara Withe that gave all the tips on becoming self-sufficent in producing Magazines.

Step by step, she has lead the participants through every process from interviewing, content curation, editorial design, print production, self-publishing to distribution

It was a pleasure to welcome representatives of the U.S. Embassy Pristina, Kosovo to this year’s Anibar International Animation Festival.

The visit included our Student Competition, festival exhibitions, and conversations about the role of animation, creativity, and cultural exchange in bringing people together.

We appreciate the continued collaboration over the years and were honored to receive a Certificate of Appreciation recognizing our partnership.

Last Friday, we had the pleasure to have Michael Frei present his short interactive games at our Jusuf Gërvalla Cinema stage, taking the audience through his creative journey, from his first projects to his most recent.🎤👾

From Plug & Play to Kids Swan, he showed how a carefully thought-out process hides behind a minimalist design. Although initially focused solely on animation, Frei has expanded his practice by making the audience an active part of the narrative, where players make decisions without losing the coherence of the story.✨

You know what really gets us at Anibar?👀

Collective oohs, collective awwwws and watching animated films together at our cinemas!📽️

Between our home base at Jusuf Gërvalla, to Çarshia, Cubes and Lake, more than 200 were screened, and we watched them all. Decorado and Arco are our media team’s favorites so we’re spamming you with those. 🤭

Not often do we remember to use pencil scraps and flowers to create beautiful things - but with EU support and Marija Jevic by our side we had a lovely workshop on botanical jewelry!🌸

Participants had the chance to learn about the process of casting something in resin, create different kinds of jewelry and take it home!

We’re cutesy, we’re fun and now, floral too!
