Following a busy Independence week, we had the opportunity to meet with the Samoa Red Cross Society and the Laboratory Services team at Moto’otua Hospital to acknowledge and thank them for their incredible service and commitment throughout the celebrations ❤️🇼🇸

Beyond reflecting on their important work, we also discussed an exciting collaboration ahead of World Blood Donor Day 2026.

Supported by the Pacific-Australia Youth Association Inc, this initiative aims to encourage greater awareness of blood donation, strengthen youth engagement through the relaunch of Club 25 Samoa, and support efforts to ensure a safe and sustainable blood supply for our communities.

Through this partnership we hope to empower young people to become leaders in service, health advocacy, and community action while contributing to a cause that has the power to save lives.

If you’re a young person passionate about service, leadership, health, or making a difference in your community, keep an eye out for upcoming opportunities to get involved🩸

In the meantime, feel free to send me a DM if you’d like to learn more or be part of what we’re building.

More details coming soon ✨

“If Gagana Samoa could speak”

A poem dedicated to our language, our identity, and our Samoa.

May we continue to speak, cherish, and pass on the gift of Gagana Samoa. For as Aiono Dr. Fanaafi Le Tagaloa reminds us:
“A leai se gagana, ua leai se aganu’u. A leai se aganu’u, ua pō le nu’u”

Manuia le fa’aauauina o le a’oa’oina o le Gagana Samoa 🇼🇸🌺

A privilege to celebrate the longstanding partnership and people-to-people connections between Samoa and Australia.

It was an honour to meet Her Excellency the Honourable Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia, and to join leaders, alumni, and community members in reflecting on a relationship that has been shaped through diplomacy, development cooperation, and through the enduring connections between our peoples.

As an Australia Awards alumna and someone who now works across both Samoa and Australia through my role as Chief Communications Officer of the Pacific Australia Youth Association , this occasion held particular significance. I have seen firsthand how education, youth engagement, cultural exchange, and regional collaboration create meaningful opportunities for young people and strengthen the ties that connect our Pacific family.

The relationship between Samoa and Australia extends far beyond governments and institutions. The people-to-people connections remain one of the most valuable foundations of our relationship, that cultivate mutual understanding for the future of our region.

As Miss Samoa, I am continually reminded that representation is less about celebrating who we are as a nation, but more about building bridges between communities that create spaces for dialogue, collaboration, and shared purpose.

Fa’afetai tele lava to the in Samoa for the invitation and warm hospitality. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate a partnership that continues to enrich the lives of so many across Samoa, Australia, and the wider Pacific.

So much to reflect on as we begin celebrating 64 years of Samoa’s Independence, one thing is for sure, there is hope. Hope in our faith, our culture, our people, and in the resilience of Samoa. Samoa’s history is one of perseverance. Our nation has overcome hardship before and emerged stronger.

Lo tatou si’osi’omaga, o lo tatou faasinomaga 🌱

Great to see everyone come together for Saturday’s Mass Clean Up Day ahead of Independence celebrations 🇼🇸 A good reminder that keeping Samoa clean begins with all of us, from our homes and villages to our public spaces. We should treat our public spaces with the same care and respect we give our own homes, because they belong to all of us 🙏

Faafetai to everyone who showed up and did their part.

, Keep it Beautiful, Keep it clean
