Universitas: Reimagining the Vietnamese University Campus

What if a university campus was designed around relationships rather than buildings?

Designed by G8A Architecture & Urban Planning in collaboration with Allies and Morrison and OMGEVING, with visualisation by MA, the proposed University of Economics and Business campus in Hoa Lac explores how learning can unfold in dialogue with community, landscape, and the relationships through which knowledge is shared, ideas are tested, and futures begin to take shape.
Conceived as a living framework rather than a singular object, the masterplan is structured around a gradual transition between urbanity and landscape, institution and community, and formal and informal modes of exchange.
The result is a campus designed not only to support education today, but to evolve alongside the people who will shape its future—a university defined as much by the relationships it fosters between people, place, and knowledge as by the buildings themselves.

“Nostalgia is a memory sweetened by time”.

Commissioned marketing image showcasing the architect’s vision of pure, barefoot luxury…inviting guests to rediscover the essence of what a vacation once felt like. We took inspiration from one of the architect’s statements: “Nostalgia is a memory sweetened by time”. Our aim was to present an honest representation of the place by stripping away stereotypical resort imagery, marketing fluff, and unnecessary artifice. Instead, we looked to a simpler time—pre-AI, pre-mobile phones, pre-internet, pre-social media and influencers, before over-curated visuals and constant stimulation became the norm. To evoke this sense of nostalgia, we developed our art direction based on old Polaroid photographs and 16mm film; without attempting to fully replicate either aesthetic.

Our visualisations offer a first glimpse into this new destination, conceived by acclaimed design studio INTARAN. Are you an accomplished architecture visualiser based in Vietnam? Join us now and create with MA!

We have two positions vacant at our studio in Ho Chi Minh City:
(1) Junior Visualisers (with focus on exterior CGI)
(2) Mid-level Visualiser (with focus on exterior CGI)

Requirements:
 Minimum 2 years work experience as a visualiser in a professional environment; either within an archviz studio or within an architecture firm
 Formal education in architecture (i.e. minimum undergraduate level at college or university)
 Proficient in 3ds Max, Corona Renderer, Photoshop
 Understanding in setting cameras and creating good compositions
 Ability to render a range of different light settings
 Efficient at work, and good time management skills
 Passion to continue learning and willingness to work as part of small but close team

Có hiểu biết về thiết lập camera và tạo bố cục hình ảnh tốt
Có khả năng render đa dạng các điều kiện ánh sáng khác nhau
Làm việc hiệu quả, có kỹ năng quản lý thời gian tốt
