Coming of Age

There he stands
no longer only a boy,
not yet fully a man
balanced on the fragile edge between.

Growth does not knock politely.
It arrives like a tide
sometimes gentle,
sometimes all at once.

Questions echo in the chambers of his mind:
What is a man?
Is it strength, silence, sacrifice
or the courage to feel?

He reaches for answers the way one reaches for light,
chasing ideals shaped by noise,
by history,
by a world still redefining itself.

At times he will run too fast,
mistaking perfection for purpose.
At times he will lose his reflection
in mirrors built by others.

But even in confusion,
something ancient stirs within him
a quiet force,
steady as breath,
patient as the earth beneath his feet.

And one day he will understand:
coming of age was never a single moment,
but a gradual awakening
a shedding of borrowed skins,
a returning to his own name.

To not be lost.
To see himself clearly.
To stand rooted.

And, in that knowing,
to bloom.

Unregistered Strangers

What is the connection between humans and nature? Who can define the purpose of our existence?

Curiosity drives humans to discover the world, take risks, and assert their roles against nature, even against one another.

Half human, half animal, Unregistered Strangers explores an empty space. They fight for their own beliefs, confronting one another while searching for an unknown connection.

This visual dialogue raises a battle between how we feel and what we do when we feel lost. It also suggests a quiet acceptance of our true nature:
“Are we animals, after all?”

Rooted in Vietnamese heritage from Hội An city, artist Bùi Công Khánh approached material as narrative.

Through drawing, carving, and layered surface work, he reinterpreted the Lady Dior bag as a vessel of memory, drawing from the textures and symbolism of Hội An. His practice navigates the tension between fragility and structure, freedom and constraint, allowing cultural references to emerge through craft rather than ornament.

In this chapter, the focus shifts from the object to the hand that shapes it.

As part of the Dior Lady Art travelling exhibition, the Lady Dior bag is reimagined as a site of artistic inquiry: an open form shaped through dialogue with contemporary artists around the world.

For the first time in Vietnam, Dior collaborated with artist Bùi Công Khánh, presenting the new version of Lady Dior as a sculptural vessel infused with Vietnamese cultural memory drawn from Hội An.

Motifs of drifting clouds, fishing nets, carved wood, and porcelain are translated into form and texture, transforming the iconic silhouette into a contemporary artwork where heritage, material, and craftsmanship quietly converge.

Scenographic Journey

The unique experience unfolded across three distinctive environments, each playing a specific role within the narrative of the private VIPs dinner night.

The first space drew directly from the history of TDX Ice Factory, where sculptural ice was introduced as an exhibition element, echoing the site’s former function and grounding the space in memory, material and temperature.
The central - Apocalypse, explored contrast through raw architecture and living green elements, where vegetation emerged within an industrial setting, creating a dialogue between perfecting modernity and echoing nature.
The final stop shifted into a warmer, expressive atmosphere, defined by the signature iconic red of the Maison and conceived as a space for gathering, performance and shared energy.

A progression of atmospheres designed to let space, light and material guide the experience for its special guests to indulge within this safe haven where time stood still & souls alive.
