Playing at WPT Prime Thailand was truly a rollercoaster of intense focus and excitement. The sheer number of participants made it feel electric, and while the 20-minute blind levels arguably stripped away some of the deeper strategic aspects of poker, it was still a valuable and unforgettable experience.

I entered two tournaments, gained some great insights, and unfortunately, suffered two brutal bust-outs. Out of a field of 663 players, only 83 would make it into the money. When there were just 89 players remaining, the action folded to UTG who opened to 36,000 at 18,000 BB. Sitting with AA, I 3-bet to 100,000, only to see UTG jam with KJo. (What a heartbreaking coin flip situation.) I called, and we went to the flop: 3♥️10♦️4♠ , rainbow. Turn: 9♣️, River: Q♥️,and just like that, my aces were cracked and I was out of the tournament in painful fashion.

That’s poker. With such a large field and fast structure (20-minute levels), it was hard to fully enjoy the depth of tournament play , but it was still an amazing experience. Despite the challenges, I’m grateful to World Poker Tour (WPT) and Poker Talk Thailand for organizing such a remarkable event here in Thailand. It means a lot to have this opportunity, even amidst all the difficulties.

ထိုင်းမှာ Poker ဆော့လိုသူတို့အတွက် သတင်းကောင်း။

Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) သည် 2025 ခုနှစ်၊ ဇူလိုင်လ 23 ရက် တွင် poker ကို ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံတွင် တရားဝင်အားကစားအဖြစ် အသိအမှတ်ပြုခဲ့ကြောင်း သတင်းထုတ်ပြန်ခဲ့သည်။ Deputy Prime Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit ၏ဦးဆောင်မှုဖြင့် SAT အစည်းအဝေးတွင် အတည်ပြုခဲ့ပြီး၊ Tourism & Sports Minister Surawong Thienthong, SAT Governor Kongsak Yodmanee, တစ်ခြားအရာရှိများမှပါဝင်ဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ကြပြီးဆုံးဖြတ်ခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။ Poker နှင့်အတူ American football (flag football) ကိုလည်း တရားဝင်အားကစားအဖြစ် အသိအမှတ်ပြုခဲ့သည်။
Poker ကိုအားကစားပုံစံမျိုးဖြင့်သာခွင့်ပြုထားပြီး လောင်းကစားပုံစံမျိုကိုခွင့်ပြုမထားသေးပါ။ ဆိုလိုခြင်းသည် Tournament ပုံစုံးကိုသာ အားကစားအနေဖြင့် ခွင့်ပြုပြီး Cash games များကို လောင်းကစားကဲ့သို့သတ်မှတ်ပြီး ခွင့်မပြုသေးပါ။

WPT Thailand ဟာမနက်ဖြန်စတင်မှာ ဖြစ်ပြီး ဒီနေ့မှာ ဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်ချခဲ့တာကြောင့် WPT Thailand မှာ Thai နိုင်ငံသားတွေဝင်ရောက်ဆော့ခွင့်ရတော့မှာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

ဒီနေ့ကတော့ 167 ယောက်မှာ အဆင့် ၅ ရခဲ့တယ်ဆိုတော့ တော်တော်လေးတွက်ခြေကိုက်ခဲ့တယ်လို့ပြောလို့ရပါတယ်။
ဒီနေ့အတွက် အမှတ်တရအရှိဆုံးကတော့ A♣️ နဲ့ 10♣️ ရနေတဲ့အချိန် Board ရဲ့ Flop မှာတင် 4♣️9♣️Q♣️ လန်ပြီး Nut Flush ဖြစ်ပြီး ပါလာတဲ့နှစ်ယောက်ဆီက Chips အတော်များများရပြီး Chips Lead ဖြစ်သွားတဲ့အခိုက်တန့်ပါပဲ။
ပိုက်ဆံကတော့ Buy in 720,000VND ကို 5,100,000VND ပြန်ရတာဆိုတော့ အတော်လေးမြတ်တယ်လို့ပြောရမယ်။

ညပိုင်းပွဲလေးကတာ့ Final Table ရောက်ပြီး အဆင့် ၇ နဲ့သာ ကျေနပ်လိုက်ရပါတယ်။ ITM ထဲပါလို့ 900,00VND တော့အမြတ်ရခဲ့ပါတယ်။

WPT Prime Thailand Exhibition ကျင်းပဖို့ ၇ ရက်သာလိုပါတော့တယ်။ Main Event ရဲ့ဆုကြေးငွေ Prize Pool ကလည်း 37 Millons THB မို့လုံးဝမိုက်နေမယ့် ပြိုင်ပွဲကြီးမို့ လက်မလွှတ်သင့်ဘူးနော်။ နိုင်ငံတကာရဲ့ တရားဝင် Poker ပြိုင်ပွဲကြီးဖြစ်တာနဲ့အညီ အကောင်းဆုံး experience တွေရမယ့် ပြိုင်ပွဲကြီးလည်းဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီ WPT မှာပါဝင်မယ့် Myanmar Poker Player တွေရှိမယ်ဆိုရင် အတူတကွဆော့ချင်ပါတယ်။ တကယ်လို့ WPT Experience လိုချင်တယ် Poker အခြေခံလောက်ပဲ သိသေးတယ်ဆိုရင်လည်း Tournament ရဲ့သဘောတရာတွေ ပြိုင်ပွဲတခုခြင်းစီရဲ့ Strategy တွေကိုမေးမြန်းဆွေးနွေးလို့ရပါတယ်။ WPT မှာပါဝင်မယ့်သူတွေ Page ကို Messages ပို့မေးမြန်းနိုင်ပါတယ်။ အသေးစိတ်အချက်လက်တွေကိုလည်း Poker Talk Thailand မှာသွားရောက်ကြည့်ရှုနိုင်ပါတယ်။

ပထမဦးဆုံး Poker Star က Manila မှာလုပ်တဲ့ ပြိုင်ပွဲမှာ ဆုရခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ Okada Manila Millions မှာ ပြိုင်ပွဲအတွင်းမှာ 5 ကြိမ် Final Table သို့ရောက်ခဲ့ပြီး Win the bottom ပြိုင်ပွဲမှာ ပထမဆုရခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစိပါတယ်။ Poker Star ပြိုင်ပွဲတလျှောက် မြန်မာပြည်က ပထမဆုံး ဆုရတဲ့သူအဖြစ်လည်း မှတ်တမ်းတင်နိုင်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။
