Where do you spend the most time? Does the art in that room actually reflect how much time you spend there?

The spaces we use most deserve the most thought.

On my mind lately: "The Moon's Promise"

Chilling Authority

18" x 24"

The artist's work, "Chilling Authority," skillfully depicts the cold, wintery atmosphere of a monochrome forest scene. The intricate detailing of leafless trees and an ornate chair reminiscent of a throne for the leader of the church - the pope, suggests a captivating story within the image. The snowy ground enhances the sense of stillness and cold. The artist's adept use of shading and hatching techniques creates a depth and atmosphere that invites contemplation and curiosity.

SOLD! But you may still purchase prints and merchandise.

It's that quiet, late-night sky feeling... perfect for a new experiment in geometry and cosmos.

Just started the underdrawing for this piece — a square primed panel with a graphite grid to map a radiating star-form; the lower band is blocked in with a blue checker pattern (testing rhythm and contrast). I’m planning layered, translucent glazes over these forms to give a sense of depth and drifting stars... and a few opaque highlights to catch the light.

I’m curious — do you prefer the checker pattern stay bold and graphic, or softened into the field of stars? Let me know in the comments... your input often nudges a piece in a surprising direction. 🖼️⭐
