It's that quiet, late-night sky feeling... perfect for a new experiment in geometry and cosmos.
Just started the underdrawing for this piece — a square primed panel with a graphite grid to map a radiating star-form; the lower band is blocked in with a blue checker pattern (testing rhythm and contrast). I’m planning layered, translucent glazes over these forms to give a sense of depth and drifting stars... and a few opaque highlights to catch the light.
I’m curious — do you prefer the checker pattern stay bold and graphic, or softened into the field of stars? Let me know in the comments... your input often nudges a piece in a surprising direction. 🖼️⭐
