Offering classes for all ages and levels, Pointe Dance Academy enrolls students from age 3 for creative movement classes, through to advanced and professional levels. The curriculum contains open classes in the Russian Imperial method and offers syllabi classes in the Cecchetti method. Most years, the academy holds international Cecchetti exams for the students in Cecchetti USA syllabus, with exam
iners appointed by the society traveling to the island to conduct the student exams. Performances are held on a semi-annual basis, allowing students to demonstrate their learned skills to an audience of family, friends and the community. Pointe Dance Academy’s past performances include numerous professional productions of The Nutcracker Suite Ballet for the holidays as well as a Spring Gala performances, which have featured classic variations from well known ballets as well as exhibiting student choreography.
