Pictured is the King’s Crown, which was passed down from 1977 to 1994 through 18 kings before being retired. The crown was worn by these distinguished monarchs:

8. Johnny Boudreaux
9. Robert Remedies

14. John Patton
15. Sam A. Rivers Sr.
16. Reasing Rivers
17. John H. Procell
18. Fred J. Ezernack

In 1994 the crown was retired at the end of Fred Ezernack's reign and later worn by Garrett Walsh Jr. and Donald H. Remedies, continuing their fathers' legacy. In total, 20 Kings has worn the crown.

Please note that in honor of the Tamale Fiesta's 50th anniversary the Zwolle Museum on the Bend located inside the Old Train Depot will feature a special display celebrating this milestone.
