Creativity was in full bloom last Thursday in downtown Zebulon! ✨🎨

We had an absolute blast watching our local young artists unleash their imaginations at our recent Free Student Art Class! From colorful creations to ear-to-ear smiles, it was a day filled with inspiration and beautiful masterpieces.

Here at the Zebulon Downtown Arts Council, empowering our next generation of creators is a huge priority. In fact, expanding our youth programming is one of our core missions this year! We believe that art is essential for young minds, and we are so thrilled to bring more accessible, creative opportunities to the kids in our community.

It takes a village to make the magic happen. A heartfelt thank you to:

The Zebulon Main Street Board will be hosting a Tools4Schools supply drive during the concert. They'll be collecting school supplies for local teachers to help stock their classrooms for the new school year. Your donation will directly support educators by providing the resources they need for their students.

This program is supported by United Arts Wake County.

We are thrilled to welcome Joanna Arteaga Ferrin as the new Executive Director of the Zebulon Downtown Arts Council (ZDAC)

With over a decade of experience in arts leadership and community advocacy, Joanna will guide ZDAC into a transformative era. Under her leadership, we are officially launching our Renaissance 100 Campaign to expand our cultural programming and pursue our ultimate goal: securing a permanent creative space in the heart of downtown!

To celebrate this exciting milestone, we’ve also unveiled a fresh, modernized logo and a brand-new website. ✨

Have you registered for the FREE student art class, led by instructor Gwyneth Scoggins, yet? This class teaches middle and high school artists how to adhere to a theme when creating their art.

Students who are working towards developing a strong portfolio of work will benefit from learning from Gwyneth, who is currently studying Studio Art at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and is on track to get her Master's in Art Education.
