Gabriel is a 1977 graduate of Maysville High School. He received a scholarship to attend Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD). During their 32 year marriage, Gabriel and Debra raised their six children. “My art took a back seat to the most important job in my world, my children. “They are my Masterpieces”

“The time and commitment required working and helping raise children far outweighed my art, so I let my art go and spent as much time as possible giving my family what they gave me – “Unconditional LOVE” Needless to say, the first 32 years flew by with no regrets.”
Gabriel restarted painting a several years back after his long time friend, nationally recognized local Painter, Artist, Gallery Owner, and Patron of the Arts; Paul Emory encouraged me to, “Just do art”, “Thanks Paul!” Gabriel’s medium of choice is Acrylic Paint on canvas. And his primary subjects are people/portraits. Consequently Gabriel presently has a small body of art work floating around our community and he continues to work, play music and paint in his home studio located in South Zanesville. “I could not sustain this level of creativity without my most loving critic, my beautiful wife Debbie.”
Finally, “Thanks mom and dad (Evelyn and Gabriel Weatherspoon Sr.) whose prayers and support are the foundation on which my art was built.”
