My heart is so full after this weekend. Our recital truly felt like something special… and without a doubt, the best one yet.

Celebrating 25 years of MMSTUDIOS on that stage was emotional in all the best ways. Watching my Natalie dance her senior recital with me is something I will carry forever. And seeing all three of our seniors walk their graduation and perform their senior dances… there are no words for how proud I am of each of them.

From our tiniest dancers at age 2 to our seniors at 18, and every cheerleader in between—you all showed up, worked hard, and shined. You are the reason this studio is what it is.

To our families—thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and being part of this journey. To our incredible staff—you pour so much into these kids, and it shows every time they step on stage.

And to my own family… my mom Fran Desrosiers , Michelle Patterson , Slade, Natalie, and Derrick—you are my backbone. You step in, lift me up, and make all of this possible more than anyone sees. I couldn’t do any of this without you.

Now… we take a deep breath. A few weeks to rest, reset, and get ready for an exciting Spring season ahead 💜

So much gratitude. So much love.

Senior Dancer & Dance Mom Spotlight💜❤️👩‍🎓
Landyn Prouty & Betsy Bollinger

1. How many years have you been dancing, and how long have you been at MMSTUDIOS?

16 years
entire dance career

2. What styles of dance do you love the most—and why?

Contemporary because I get to really let go and show all the emotion I've ever bottled up.

3. What has dance taught you about yourself?

Dance has taught me how to be unapologetically myself.

4. What’s a moment in dance you’ll never forget?

The day my best friend Addy joined our studio!

5. What was your favorite recital, competition, or performance—and why?

2025 Christmas in New York because me, Addy, and Nat got to be seniors together and I just felt so much love within the team.

6. What was the hardest thing you ever had to push through as a dancer?

My ankle injury and being out for so long then having to hop back in and learn all the dances.

7. How has dance helped shape who you are today?

Dance has helped me learn how to be myself and not let the judgment of others determine how I feel about myself.

8. What lesson from dance will you carry into your life after graduation?

A lesson I will carry on into my life is how I deal with my emotions.

9. How has being part of a dance team impacted your confidence or mindset?

Having the team that I have has impacted my mindset on having a support system and it made me realize that having a strong support system is very important.

10. What does MMSTUDIOS mean to you?

MMSTUDIOS has given me a place to create relationships and learn important lessons. It has given me a place to learn how to deal with my emotions in a healthy way.

11. What’s something special about this studio that people may not see from the outside?

Something special that people may not see is the relationship and the family we have.

12. What are your plans after graduation?

I plan to further my education and obtain a degree in middle childhood education focusing in math and science.

13. Will dance continue to be part of your life in some way?

I think that dance will be a part of my life in some way. I’m not sure how but I know I will want my daughter to dance.

14. What are you most excited about in your next chapter?

I am most excited to live my life and find other things that aren’t dance that i’m passionate about.

15. What advice would you give to younger dancers?

I promise you that all those long dance days and early morning wake up calls for comps are so worth it and don’t take it for granted because it goes by so fast.

16. If you could go back and tell your younger dance-self something, what would it be?

Keep putting in the work and you will find your style of dance! Keep your confidence!!

17. Finish this sentence: “Dance has given me…”

A way to cope with my emotions and my very best friend.

Senior Dance Mom Spotlight –
1. How many years has your dancer been part of MMSTUDIOS?

16

2. What made you choose dance for your child originally?

It was something she could get involved in at a young age. I was familiar with the staff through her preschool. Dance was something I did as a child as well. We tried a couple other sports and coordinating her outfit was what she was focused on…so dance it was!

3. What has it been like watching your dancer grow over the years?

Magic- there is no other feeling like watching your daughter on stage express herself through movement.

4. What is one moment in your dancer’s journey that you’ll never forget?

Her solo, Love Triangle- it was the first time she chose a song that helped her express how she was feeling and what she was going through.

5. How has dance shaped your child beyond the studio?

Dance has given her confidence that has carried her beyond the studio walls and into other aspects of her life.

6. What lessons do you feel dance has taught your dancer that will stay with them for life?

Dance has taught Landyn about teamwork and being a part of something bigger. She has learned how to take corrections, work toward common goals and support teammates.

7. What has surprised you most about your child through their dance experience?

Her courage- whether it be an injury, family changes, time management- she has pushed through it all with grace.

8. What does MMSTUDIOS mean to your family?

MMDance has been a second family to our family- our Dance Family. Between the girls, the moms and dads, the teachers it is a place where friendships grow, teachers care and everyone’s success is celebrated.

9. What’s something special about this studio that families may not see from the outside?

The “behind the scenes” care about each and every dancer. Teachers care about more than just choreography. Sometimes part of dance class is a mental check in, meeting the girls where they are.

10. What are you most proud of when you look at your dancer today?

I’m proud of the adversity Landyn has overcome as she has grown into a beautiful, caring, loving, fun and committed young lady.

11. What has it been like watching them step into their senior year?

Exciting and a little anxious. She has kept me in the dark about her solo and duet this year, so I am very excited about competition season this year. She told me her goal was to make me cry, which won’t be hard, because watching her dance always brings the water works.

12. How has being a dance mom shaped or changed you?

Patience! Emotions are high on competition days. I always try to be the calm (that doesn’t always work!). My best role has been to provide fuel (snacks), a trip to the merch table and staying out of the dressing room.

13. What will you miss most about this chapter?

I will miss the time spent together traveling to competitions, weekends at hotels, team meals, the excitement of each number.

14. What are you most excited to watch your dancer do next?

Landyn has always had a natural connection to youth. She finds joy in helping kids learn, grow and feel understood- whether she is coaching cheer, helping little dancers or being a leader as a 4H camp counselor. I am excited to see her pursue a career in education. She will be an exceptional teacher! I know she will make a positive impact in her career choice and make a difference in the lives of so many.

15. What advice would you give to newer dance moms?

If they are having fun, you are doing it right!
Don’t compare your dancer to other dancers. They all grow and mature at their own rate.
Find a method of organization that works for you and your dancer on comp days.

16. If you could go back and tell your younger dance-mom self something, what would it be?

Once she can do her own hair and makeup, she will be nicer on comp days! It does get better! Haha
No, but really enjoy every season of being a dance mom, it will be over before you know it.

17. Finish this sentence:
“Dance has given our family…” JOY
