We invite everyone to join us for **Desert Rhythms: An Evening of Middle Eastern Dance** on Saturday, October 10th, at 7 PM at the Historic Yuma Theatre in downtown Yuma.

Come enjoy an unforgettable evening of dance, live music, beautiful costumes, and incredible performers from Yuma, Phoenix, and Los Angeles.

Tickets are just $15 per person, and children five and under are free. Bring a friend, bring the family, and come experience the magic of Desert Rhythms!

Last up in our dancer spotlights is the ever amazing Devilla Raks!
DeVilla is a professional, award-winning belly dancer and Emmy-nominated makeup artist for television and film, based in Los Angeles. With over 25 years of experience, she is a prominent and influential figure in the LA belly dance community, known for her elegant, theatrical dance style that reflects her deep love for both old Hollywood glamour and classical Egyptian Raks Sharqi. DeVilla was presented with an ICON award from the Bellydancer of the Universe in 2025.
DeVilla holds a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and moved to California to pursue her passion for makeup artistry in television and film. Her impressive credits include Dexter: Original Sin, The Rookie, American Horror Story (Emmy-nominated for “Apocalypse”), and The Fabelmans, directed by Steven Spielberg—a career highlight for her. She is also a proud recipient of a Peabody Award for excellence in storytelling.
As a performer, DeVilla has brought her signature dance style to many of L.A.'s most beloved venues, including Dar Maghreb, Moun of Tunis, The Desert Rose, and Café Sevilla. She continues to perform regularly, captivating audiences with every shimmy and sweep of her veil.
Beyond the stage and screen, DeVilla is also a certified Pilates instructor, offering private sessions and classes at Club Pilates. Always an overachiever, always an innovator, and always an artist—DeVilla continues to inspire and evolve in every aspect of her multifaceted career. We have been honored to have her in several of our shows over the past few years and are so excited to have her return!!

Zoriy is an alumna of Jillina’s BDExperience productions and Amanda Rose’s Belly Lab and continues her studies under the mentorship of Victoria Teel. The reason for our showcase...the students!!!
My students have worked hard over the past few months, developing their technique, learning choreography, and preparing to share what they've accomplished with the community.
For many of these dancers, performing on stage is a chance to celebrate their progress, challenge themselves, and experience the excitement of being part of a production. Plus, we all love the costumes.
