I love Mary’s cleaning challenges! Excited to get started with this one!

Welcome to Week 1 of the Spring Cleaning Challenge! I clean almost everything from top to bottom because dust and cleaning sprays settle downward. When I created a 5 week spring cleaning schedule, I also went from the tops of our homes to the bottoms. For the "middle" of our homes, I tried to just do an order that makes sense. Like, let's group all the kitchen cleaning into one week.

Unlike the Declutter Challenge where I encourage you to stick to the scheduled task to avoid burnout, Spring Cleaning is different. You can do an entire week in 1 day if you want to speed things up (or wait until Saturday and make it a family activity). Or you can go slow or even move things around.

Whatever you do, do some deep cleaning. The Spring Cleaning tasks in this schedule are important to do at least once a year, so why not do them now??

Because I decided to make the Spring Cleaning Challenge Schedule a FREE Printable this year, I will not have a weekly blog post describing what to do each week. Instead, I will just invite you to download the FREE printable for the schedule and I will give you tips to complete the tasks in a weekly email. Week 1 email has already been sent, so make sure you are subscribed for next Week's email.

I recently bought this northern lights projector for my bedroom and bathroom for bubble baths. It has multiple settings for different colors, white noice machine and works as a blue tooth speaker. My favorite setting is all the light with the green stars added. I love this so much! I’ll post the link of the exact one I got in the comments. (Contains affiliate links)

I tripled my empanada filling and made a bunch of burritos to freeze. They came out amazing! I used 1/2 cup filling per 8" tortilla and it made roughly 20 burritos. To thaw I microwave them for a minute and a half and then toast them in a buttered pan on the stove or 4 minutes in the air fryer. Don't forget the cilantro aioli - IT'S INCREDIBLE

What dish do you make every single year for Easter? Like Easter is just not Easter if you do not make ________?
We have so many items we like to enjoy every year. This year we're making pulled ham, deviled eggs, Mac n cheese and pineapple stuffing. Our pulled ham has become so popular that a couple neighbors requested my husband make them one as well!

That ham with pineapple glaze is also amazing and the bone plus leftover ham is excellent in ham and bean soup. I am not making my Easter bread this year but it's usually a stable, it's dense, sweet and traditional - taking many hours of labor and love to create. Links to everything listed in the comments!

My daughter got this walnut pesto from Trader Joe’s and said it’s the best pesto she’s ever had. She’s been putting it on Texas toast, sandwiches and even using it as a dip. I love making pesto because my basil does so well in my garden here so I thought I’d share this label and recipe. I’m planning to replace the pine nuts in the recipe with walnuts to make this at home!

This is my beautiful friend Caitlin. Caitlin started off as a customer of mine way back when I first started this page and quickly became a friend.
She would challenge my creativity by ordering custom hats and helped me design them every step of the way until she felt they were perfect for her.
Caitlin would message me almost daily for years to chat or send recipes or craft projects or funny memes. Her and I shared a love for animals, she especially loved birds and is part of the reason we have Apple.
I am deeply saddened to have found out today that Caitlin passed away back in July. Rest easy my friend, I will miss your messages, our chats and your unique orders!
