This last week The Progress Room hosted the 124th Annual OSFA Conference 🧑‍🚒🚒🔥We were so honored they chose our space and loved getting to meet everyone! What a group of fun, kind and inspiring individuals!

*This was the last big event for the Progress Room. We will be officially closing our doors on July 31, 2026.

🎅🏼 🙏

Hello friends, I wanted to send an update on what’s been on happening since Labor Day weekend. Another unexpected and severe infection attacked my body and landed me in the ICU for 5 nights after which I was hospitalized an additional 5 days. I don’t remember much from the early days of my hospital stay as I was intubated and sedated. Lots of friends checked in on me and so many of you showed your love and concern, for which I am deeply thankful.

I am home now recovering and managing my healing. The day to day has been a challenge, but I am making it a day at a time. Home health care is bringing PT and nursing supervision. As of Monday, I have finally completed the course of IV antibiotics from the massive MRSA infection I survived since this summer. Because of the most recent infection, I am being treated with another round of heavy IV antibiotics which will continue through next week. I am grateful for all the love, and it is hard to admit, but I am feeling very vulnerable physically and emotionally. I am feeling weak and my mind is not as clear as I wish it would be at this point. It has been a long and difficult road, on which I am still fighting my way back to health and strength.

Until I can see adequate results from the PT and OT, I am unclear about the upcoming Santa season. I am holding hope that it may be possible for me to do some Santa work, even if in limited and measured amounts. Sadly, so much is uncertain. I covet your prayers as I navigate the complexity and weight of these decisions.

I am truly humbled and blessed by the outpouring of love you’ve shown me. Words of thanks seem to fall short. Sadly, what has happened since Labor Day weekend has only compounded the financial need and placed my future stability in limbo as I face the possibility of a limited or absent Santa season this Christmas. I would be so grateful if you’d continue to share the information with others. Thank you all for your continued support, prayers, and love. Always remember that Santa loves you! 🎅🏻♥️🤟🏽
